Elders

The Elders are considered to be the spiritual leaders of the church, elected by the congregation, and ordained for life. Their ministry includes the ministry of the priesthood of the believer, in which they serve at the Lord’s table, take communion to those who are in the hospital, greet those who attend church, and, most importantly, pray for those in need. Other ministries in the church in which elders participate are teaching, pastoral care, administration, evangelism and missions. If called upon, the elders can offer special healing services, including anointing. If you are interested in being ministered to, please contact us.

Pastoral Care

Pastoral Caregivers make monthly visits to those folks who are unable to make it to our Sunday Morning services. We visit folks who are in nursing homes, or homebound, and we find that many of them are very lonely. It is a time of listening and caring, and those who do this ministry feel rewarded. If you are interested in being a pastoral caregiver, please contact the church!

Deacon

Deacons have several responsibilities: 1. Attend board meetings as a voting member. 2. Pass out bulletins during the month or Sunday you serve 3. Take up the offering. 4. Assist with communion. 5. Cleanup: clean out the pews and set up communion for the next Sunday. 6. First service deacons need to prepare the cups for the first service and then reset the trays for the second service.
